Walk in appointments are now available for Mental Health and Substance Use services at our Integrated Health Center in Syracuse. 

Mondays – Thursdays: 9 am to 3 pm  |   Fridays: 9 am to 12 pm

CONVENIENT CARE FOR STUDENTS

Liberty Resources partners with schools located in Onondaga, Oswego, and Monroe counties to support the mental health needs of students in their academic environments.  Our clinicians provide one-on-one counseling sessions to address emotional and behavioral health challenges.  In addition, we also provide the following supports:

    • Working with families and guardians to support their involvement through in-home or community visits
    • Collaborating with school teams including teachers, support staff, and administrators
    • Attending student meeting such as 504 and/or IEP
    • Partnering with care managers, psychiatrists, pediatricians and other providers to ensure care integration
    • Responding to immediate mental health crisis within the school
    • Connecting students and families with external resources

Liberty Resources provides care to everyone regardless of ability to pay or insurance status.  We also have a Sliding Fee Schedule available for qualifying individuals.  

Referral & Enrollment Information

Teens sitting in school hallwayThere are two ways to enroll your student in School-Based Mental Health services:

  • You, as the parent or guardian, may complete our Online Referral form below to request services for the child
  • Contact your school social worker or School-Based Mental Health therapist to identify if services are available / appropriate for your child / family

Once we have received your information, one of our School-Based Mental Health Clinicians will reach out to discuss your student further.  They will also work with you to coordinate the following:

  • Background information including signs or symptoms, age and grade level, family history, and insurance
  • Completion of paperwork such as a consent to evaluation your student
  • Screening your student through clinical interviews, classroom observations and other assessment tools

School-Based Mental Health can be billed through your medical insurance.  We provide a slide fee schedule to qualifying individuals.  This information can be obtained at the time of referral.
